Arthritis and BodyTalk

by Marita Roussey

Arthritis is described and diagnosed as an inflammation of the joints. This you might know before consulting your doctor. Several common types of arthritis include Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, Lupus, and Anklosing Spondylitis. BodyTalk works with the underlying causes of Arthritis rather than simply diagnosing the disease.

BodyTalk works with the body’s natural self-repair mechanisms to facilitate healing in the body, re-establishing lines of communication that have been severed.

Sometimes, this breakdown in the body’s internal dialogue has occurred many years ago, yet it is only now causing you discomfort.

BodyTalk helps you manage arthritis by approaching the entire condition from many different angles:
  • The buildup of uric acid crystals around the joints, (Gout), can be addressed using the digestive and metabolic systems.
  • Balancing a client to barometric pressure can help the body adjust to the climate.
  • An old injury or accident can be storing trauma or emotions–releasing them can help relieve a client’s symptoms.
  • Arthritic knees, for example, can be addressed through the consciousness of knees: fear of walking forward in your life, or fear of moving forward.

Belief systems can dictate the rules with which we run our lives, and they can affect the body. An overly rigid belief system can cause stiff joints!
